IT IS WITH great sadness that the Gazette reports the death of Susan Ann Colcombe, 81, of Frampton-on-Severn.
The tributes align to create a picture of a wonderful and well-liked character, known for riding from her home to the Eastington Co-operative every day.
The Gazette is sure Ms Colcombe lived a full and interesting life, but the way she died makes it harder to reflect fondly on those memories.
So let us try our best not to remember Ms Colcombe for the tragic incident that caused her death. Instead, let’s look beyond the events of the past week to the “lovely lady” known for happily riding her bike and bringing joy to those she passed.

A SOLUTION to Dursley’s traffic and parking problems may be in the pipeline, given last week's the “constructive” meeting last week and imminent formation of a multi-agency taskforce.
Let’s not perch on the edge of our seats just yet though; the information released by the town council following the meeting was vague to say the least, and without more detail (which should be released on Monday) it’s hard to tell whether there’s any substance.
