CHANGE is one of those things that always stirs up controversy as there is always someone driving it, while another is always bound to resist.
More often than not, one side will announce they were correct later down the line, but this is simply the almighty power of hindsight.
It is easy to say “I told you so” but it rarely helps the situation, and can sometimes only make matters worse.
What matters most is that when a decision that can have a considerable impact on members of the community, such as those who use the Armstrong Hall or Thornbury Library, that they have all the information available.
So it is fair for residents who have spoken out about a lack of detail in the proposals to either relocate the Armstrong Hall or refurbish it to expect answers to their questions.
Hopefully, by the time a date is set for the public meeting, Thornbury Town Council and South Gloucestershire Council will come prepared and everything will be laid on the table for the community to make an informed decision.
