FIVE fire crews have tackled a large blaze at a barn in Wick.
Fire engines from Kingswood, Speedwell, Temple, Portishead and Avonmouth were called to Riding Barn Hill at 6.25pm last night (July 11) where a barn had caught fire.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman Stephanie Mounsey said: “On arrival firefighters found the building was well alight.
“Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using two high pressure hose reels and a jet.”
She said at the height of the blaze a total of 25 firefighters were involved in tackling the fire.
Crews have remained at the scene overnight.
The fire service said the cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.
