A LORRY carrying paper caught alight in Cam on Tuesday evening, with two crews of firefighters scrambled to quench the blaze.
At 6.05pm Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service (GFRS) was called to the vehicle blaze on Woodend Lane.
Two fire engines from Dursley Fire Station with nine firefighters were mobilised and sent to incident.
A GFRS spokesman said: “On arrival, the lorry, which was carrying a load of paper, was found to be well alight and the crews used two jets and two sets of breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze, which was under control by 7.05pm.”
After ensuring the safety of the surrounding area, both appliances left the scene shortly after 8pm and were back at Dursley Fire Station by 8.25pm.
