FIRE crews were called to a car fire in a car park in Stroud.
At 7.44pm last night the fire and rescue service was called to a car fire in a car park in the centre of Stroud.
One fire engine from Stroud Community Fire Station was mobilised with a crew of six and, on arrival, found several cars well alight.
The crew used one jet, two hosereels and two breathing apparatus to fight the blaze.
The fire was under control by 8.43pm but three vehicles were severely damaged and a further three suffered slight damage.
The crew left the scene at just after 9pm to return to station.
