DAVID and Victoria Beckham are set to buy a £27million luxury country home called the Abbotswood Estate but no, it is not in Yate.
Rumours have been rife that the celebrity couple may be moving to the county since they were spotted in Nailsworth - and it would seem they have now set their heart on a Grade II listed country estate near Stow-on-the-Wold.
The Beckhams, along with children Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10 and Harper, four, visited the Abbotswood Estate last week, claimed to be the most expensive country home for sale in Britain.
The country home sits in 774 acres where there are 13 farmhouses and cottages.
It has ten bedrooms, six bathrooms and enough land for 380 football pitches.
On top of the manor house there are two entrance lodges, 11 farmhouses and cottages and planning consent for four further homes, according to the Sunday Express.
The Abbotswood estate in Yate is a housing development and shopping centre which locals have been trying to tidy up for many years.
