Homes were evacuated after a fire involving two vehicles broke out in Witcombe, Yate.
Fire crews from Yate attended the incident involving a camper van at 4am this morning (Sunday, January 6).
Officers used breathing apparatus, 45mm jets, high-pressure hose reels and 550 litres of foam to extinguish the fire and stop it spreading to nearby garages.
Four houses were evacuated for safety.
It is believed the fire was started accidentally.
