FORMER Wanswell Wanderers footballer Christian Ribeiro will leave Bristol City in the summer after being told his contract will not be renewed.
The 22-year-old, was once linked with a move to Premiership giants Everton, was a product of City’s academy but has struggled to break into the first team at Ashton Gate.
He injured his anterior cruciate ligament on his first team debut in 2008 against Peterborough United and his progress has been hampered by other injury setbacks.
Ribeiro is currently on loan at League One side Scunthorpe United and he had a spell at Carlisle United earlier this season.
He has made 13 appearances in total for City, but hasn’t featured under current boss Derek McInnes.
