A MAN was arrested this afternoon on suspicion of stealing a vehicle from a funeral directors and driving it while over the limit.
The driver was allegedly spotted by Wiltshire police talking on the phone and when officers indicated for him to pull over he sped off.
Officers were responding to a call after a vehicle was stolen from a funeral directors.
Posting on X, Wilts Specialist Ops said the man was arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle, drink-driving, driving while uninsured and while disqualified.
They also said he was arrested on suspicion of breaking parole terms and recalled to prison.
Earlier in the day a funeral directors in Swindon posted on social media that one of their vehicles - a black Volvo estate - had been stolen from their premises.
