DYNAMIC duo, The Welcome Parrots, will return to Friday Night at the House, at Kingshill House, Dursley, on Friday, April 20.
Previewing songs from their forthcoming CD release Green Against the Grey, the performance will include a song about John Daniel, the Uley gorilla, ferreting shenanigans in the Severn Vale and a train ride from Cheltenham Spa that goes awry, along with a host of other original songs.
Alongside this, you can expect the usual Parrots mix of blues, folk, Americana and the occasional reworking of an iconic pop song all delivered with a liberal sprinkling of humour.
With Ken Lush on mandola, mandocello and acoustic guitar and Phil Harris on the acoustic guitar, The Welcome Parrots have collaborated on a variety of projects over the last 30 years including, most recently, Club of No Regrets.
Those who would like to eat can also enjoy a home-cooked supper, for £8 for two courses.
The bar and kitchen will open at 7pm, with the entertainment starting at 8pm.
Entry is free, but a hat is passed around.
