ELLIS Valerie Val passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday 24th of February at Richmond Village Care Home aged 77 years. She was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband Eric Ellis, brother Richard Edwards, son Richard Ellis (Clare), daughter Elizabeth Rorstad (Elmer) and four grandchildren Rhian, Harry, Samuel and James. Val was a pioneer in the computing world during her working career, running her own business as a software engineer in the 1970's, 80's & 90's. She was also an avid yacht sailor later in her life, achieving her Yacht Master Offshore Certificate in her 50's and meeting many lifelong friends. Her greatest joy was her family, with whom she shared many trips to Canada and the USA over the years. Sadly her and Eric were not able to celebrate their 55 years of marriage this March. She will be greatly missed by everyone. Service to be held at Memorial Woodlands, Bristol on the 8th of March at 2.15pm.
