A TRACTOR caught alight at midday yesterday at a farm near Wotton-under-Edge.
At 1.13pm, Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service received a call to reports of a tractor fire at a farm in Bowcott.
Two fire engines were sent to deal with the incident with a total of nine firefighters. Once on scene, crews used one main jet and two breathing apparatus to deal with the fire which had severely damaged the tractor.
Gloucestershire Highways were also called upon to deal with damage to the main road.
Crews remained on scene for approximately 20 minutes.
The fire was confirmed as accidental and no persons were hurt in the incident.
