PUPILS and staff in Wotton-under-Edge raised over £300 by swapping uniforms for Children in Need.
The British School collected £327 through several fundraising activities, including fining staff £5 if they didn’t wear school uniform and pupils if they didn’t attend school wearing home clothes on Friday, November 14.
Pupils also covered a large drawing of Pudsey bear in copper coins brought in from home as donations.
Headteacher Jane Clarkson said: “The children had a fun packed day. Much to the delight of the pupils, all the staff dressed up in school uniform or paid a fine.
“They also raised the money through selling cakes and entering a competition to design and make their own Pudsey cake.”
The school raised money for the charity which provides grants to projects which focus on disadvantaged children across the UK.
