A DURSLEY man killed in a crash in Nympsfield yesterday has been named locally as Simon Lea.
The 46-year-old died at the scene after his pick up truck collided with a lorry on Bath Road.
The lorry driver was also seriously injured and has been airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he is described as being in a stable condition.
Simon worked for Elcombe Fire & Wood in Owlpen, near Uley as a driver.
In a post on Facebook, the company said: "All of us here at Elcombe are deeply shaken by the news that one of our drivers was fatally injured in a collision near Nympsfield yesterday.
"Our thoughts are with their family, colleagues and friends right now."
Road closures at the Horsley turning on the B4058, at Tincote Barn and at the recycling centre were lifted at 1am today.
Anyone who witnessed the collision but hasn't spoken to police should call 101 and quote incident 253 of April 25.
