AS part of the national Museums at Night festival, we'll be taking you back to Georgian Berkeley in the company of local historian, Peter Yardley. Setting out from The Chantry, a building with a particularly famous Georgian resident, Peter will lead a twilight tour of the historic town of Berkeley, looking at the development of the town in the 1700s and its surprising industrial past. After the tour, we'll regroup at The Chantry, now Dr Jenner's House, Museum and Garden, for an opportunity to explore the museum after hours and find out how Georgian Berkeley changed the world.
The tour starts at 7pm. Tickets cost £7.50 and must be booked in advance. For more information, and to reserve your ticket, please contact 01453 810631 or info@edwardjenner.co.uk. Tickets can also be booked online at georgianberkeley.eventbrite.co.uk (booking fee applies).
