NOW in its seventh year, the popular Wotton Arts and Craft Trail has a change of date from the usual month of June to the weekend of October 1 and 2.
The Trail is free for visitors and allows access to the homes and studios of many of the artists living and working in Wotton-under-Edge.
Professional and amateur painters working in oils, watercolours, pen and ink and photographers will be showing their work. Crafts will include stained glass, mosaics, jewellery and dressmaking. Most venues will have a selection of items for sale, many of which cannot be found on the High Street: a chance to pick up a treat for yourself or make a start on the Christmas shopping.
Demonstrations and opportunities to “have a go” will be available at some venues and the weekend will coincide with the reopening of Wotton Gallery.
Leaflets with maps of the walking trail have been distributed to 4500 homes, but can also be collected from selected shops in Wotton High Street. Previews of some of the work on display can be found on our Facebook page, and for further information or to get a copy of the leaflet contact wottoncrafttrail@gmail.com.
It all adds up to a great day out, so bring your friends and family and spend a day enjoying some of the hidden wonders of Wotton-under-Edge.
