A WOMAN has died after falling while using the mobile bank service in Berkeley.
Paramedics were sent to the aid of the woman after the incident at the Natwest mobile bank van in Salter Street just before midday last Thursday (March 29).
She was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with a head injury but later died.
A spokesman for Natwest said: “Unfortunately, an accident occurred on our mobile branch in Berkeley last Thursday, colleagues working on the branch went to the aid of the customer and called the emergency services.
“We are deeply saddened that this customer has lost her life, our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this difficult time.”
The mobile bank visits Berkeley for two hours each Thursday following the closure of its closure of the town's branch in 2015.
