A WEEKEND of live music is planned at the end of June at Prema Arts Centre in Uley near Dursley.
Austin (Texas) quintet Whiskey Shivers formed around 2009. This talented bunch of musicians will be performing at the Arts Centre on Friday, June 29.
Their genre-defying sound has been described as “apocalyptic Americana” and “frenetic bluegrass with a punk spirit”.
On Saturday, June 30, Manchester-based quintet Kabantu, will bring their exhilarating sound brimming with enthralling improvisation, great rhythms and beautiful melody.
Kabantu features Katie Foster (violin), Abel Selaocoe (cello), Ali McMath (double bass), Ben Sayah (guitar) and Delia Stevens (percussion).
The band create an exuberant sound that has been celebrated on stages ranging from the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall to the Cambridge Folk Festival.
