A huge school reunion for pupils at the old Dursley Grammar School is planned for this Summer.
The event has been confirmed for Wednesday August 14, with former pupils that attended the school between the years 1948 and 1965 welcome.
One of the organisers of the event, Adrian Weaver met with the headteacher at Rednock School, Mr David Alexander who showed support for the project, and then confirmed he had given permission for the reunion to go ahead on the grounds.
Adrian Weaver revealed that the event will take place across numerous locations in the school.
"The reunion is confirmed for 11:00am to 16:00pm at the Rednock School premises in Dursley.
"We will have the use of their large Assembly Hall and Canteen and use of the adjacent gardens if the weather is sunny.
"School staff will be available to take small groups to see the new school buildings and facilities.
"The six panoramic photos from the school years 1948 to 1964 with names added where known will be displayed in the Assembly Hall.
"A hot and cold buffet, with tea and coffee will be provided.
"All ex-pupils who attended Dursley Grammar School between 1948 and 1965 are welcome to come along to the event."
