Dr Marie Owen won Charity Fundraiser of the Year at this year's Pride of the Cotswolds awards.
The three women nominated here all dedicated their lives to helping others.
Dr Owen set up the Chamwell Centre Charity after retiring in 2015 and has so far raised £4.3million towards the cost of building and running a centre to provide sports facilities and therapy for disabled children across the county.
Dr Owen said she was ‘delighted’ to win.
“This award is not for me really it is for everybody who works for our charity” she added.
Runners up:
Sharon Scrivens - Cirencester Relay For Life
Paddi Spruyt - fundraiser for Longfield Hospice
