TOCAROS is a local guitar duo set to give a concert at the Old Bell, Dursley (Function Room) this evening (Friday) All proceeds from the event will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Den Hardy said: "What Tocaros presents is the real thing, for audiences who want genuine live music - powerful performance and excellent musicianship."
Audiences will hear exciting fusions of classical, flamenco and jazz styles.
Chris Finch and Den Hardy have each developed successful careers as solo guitarists in their own right. Both from London, Chris and Den eventually moved to the Cotswolds, where they met in 2002. Their friendship, mutual respect and enthusiasm for each other's music resulted in the new partnership early last year.
Den Hardy studied classical music at college in London and flamenco under the guidance of Tito Heredia, from the Paco Pena School of Flamenco tradition. Over the years he has performed at well-known venues including Womad, the Barbican Centre and Ronnie Scott's, during which time he has gained a reputation for his artistic and technical excellence.
Chris Finch's guitar tutors have included David Russell and Antonio Albanes, with whom he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He went on to achieve a distinction for his Trinity College Licentiate Recital Diploma. He currently teaches for Gloucestershire Music Service in schools and directs the Rednock Guitar Ensemble.
