CLOSE harmony singing of a high standard can be heard at two local Christmas concerts this weekend - in Kingswood and Rangeworthy.
Fascinating Rhythm, who performed last month in a national competition at Bournemouth International Centre, will be hosting and featuring in the concerts.
This group of singers performs unaccompanied, singing in four parts - they sing a wide range of styles and songs: current favourites include Come Fly With Me, It's Raining Men, One Fine Day and a Billy Joel ballad called And So It Goes.
Tonight, Friday (7.30pm) at Kingswood Village Hall special guests will be Havoc, the UK women's gold medal champion quartet; and QED, the UK men's gold medal champion quartet. As well as being Fascinating Rhythm's director, Pete Nugent also sings with QED - the group won its gold award at a convention in Scarborough earlier this year; and will be competing at an international convention in Nashville, US next summer.
Tomorrow, Saturday (7.30pm) at King George V Memorial Hall, Rangeworthy, Fascinating Rhythm's guests will be QED and the Gospel choirs from Castle School, Thornbury.
