A small Cotswold village school has launched a huge online raffle with the chance to win a Fender guitar signed by Coldplay.
Schools across the country have lost as much as £42 million in fundraising this year due to the pandemic and government restrictions.
Due to this, Swell C of E Primary School launched 'A Swell Christmas Raffle', with the hope to raise thousands of pounds to help fund an extension.
Nadia Moule, vice chairman for Friends of Swell School said: “Being such a small village school, we’re really quite limited when it comes to fundraising, yet our children still require and deserve an enriched education, like any other school in the country.
"That’s why we set out to make Christmas 2020 really special.
"We are overwhelmed by the kindness of local businesses and supporters, and hope their generosity is rewarded by raising record funds."
A thousand tickets were sold in the first 24 hours of the raffle launch.
Other prizes include a Peloton Bike, a Magnum of champagne and vouchers from many local Cotswold businesses.
Tickets cost £1 each and are available here.
