THE Ugly Duckling, a show for children, can be seen at WWT Slimbridge on Saturday (December 15) at 5pm.
When Mrs Duck's eggs finally hatch one duckling is too big, too brown and just too ugly to fit into the farmyard scene. Why is this little misfit so different from his brothers and sisters? Where can he go to hide his ugly feathers and stop the teasing?
Children are invited to join the little duckling on his journey of discovery and celebrate with him as he finds his true identity in this heartwarming and enchanting adaptation of the well-loved fairytale by Hans Christian Anderson.
This performance at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre sees the first working partnership between WWT and Stroud-based theatre company Red Dog Theatre - a pre-Christmas treat for families with young children.
Jude Emmett, who wrote this adaptation for Red Dog Theatre said: " This piece, which is an ideal introduction to live theatre for ages three to six, is a magical story come to life."
