CINDERELLA opens at St George's, Brandon Hill, Bristol on Thursday, December 27 (7pm).
This production, written and directed by Richard Cheshire, is presented by Creaking Door Productions run by husband and wife team Tom & Alix Sherman who met at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
Tom said: "Once it was confirmed the Bristol Old Vic would not be producing a Christmas show this year and we learnt the Hippodrome would not be offering a pantomime this year we felt the children of Bristol were being poorly served in terms of traditional Christmas entertainment.
"We have brought together an excellent cast of professionals, largely from the wealth of local talent that resides in Bristol and its environs, including Lara J West and Simon Nicholls and introducing Kate Edwards as Cinderella and Lewis Harwood as her Prince Charming.
"We've also employed the expertise of Chris Gylee as our designer who has come up with a stunning set which complements St George's distinctive style.
"As well as our professional cast we're going to be ably supported by the talented youth of Bristol: more than a dozen schools are represented and our older chorus members are being provided courtesy of The Big Act and The Bristol School of Dance.
"Audiences will have everything you'd expect from a traditional family pantomime - sumptuous costumes, astounding songs, dazzling dancing, wonderful comedy and audience participation galore.."
The show runs until Sunday, January 6 with some matinee performances at 2pm (no performance on New Year's Eve).
