A CHRISTMAS Tea Dance is being held at Under the Edge Arts in the Chipping Hall, Wotton on Sunday, December 23 - from 3pm to 5pm.

The event offers ballroom, Latin & sequence dancing for all ages in a friendly atmosphere. Festive fare (mince pies & home made cakes) with tea and coffee is included in the admission price.

Everyone is welcome - no need to book or come with a partner STAX of Trax presents a Soul Spectacular at the Subscription Rooms, Stroud on Thursday, December 27 at 8.30pm. DJ Andy Edwards will be playing non-stop classic soul.

Miss Fusion will provide stomping live music: this six- piece band will be playing a fusion of Soul, Northern, Motown, Funk and Cool Pop.

The show promises a non-stop, back-to-back, floor filling, roof- raising performance.

WILD bird feeds are on offer at WWT Slimbridge during winter afternoons. People are invited to view Bewick's Swans coming to roost at dusk on the Rushy Lake whilst listening to the commentated feed - from the comfort of the heated Peng Observatory. No booking is required: just check times on the day, on arrival.

Special evening floodlit feeds are also available at weekends until February. Slimbridge's swan experts will join spectators to watch the Bewick's Swans feed by floodlight at 6.15pm.

Private weekday feeds can also be arranged for groups of 12 people or more.

DANCE off the Christmas excess with Just Jive on Friday, December 28 at 8.30pm at the Subscription Rooms, Stroud.

These monthly nights offer a chance to see different styles of jive and to meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere, with a good spread of music from the forties to modern day. There is no need to bring a partner and the dance moves are quick to learn.
