STAFF at Cam Family Butchers are working day and night to complete 1,000 Christmas meat orders after the shop was burgled.
The shop, in Phillimore Road, was broken into in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Thieves stole around £2,000 worth of steak, duck, chicken and bacon, as well as £1,000 in cash.
The shop doors were ripped out their frames and the scales and till were smashed.
The butchers reopened on Wednesday morning and staff are now concentrating on getting all the Christmas orders ready.
Mark Carr, owner of the family-run butchers, said: "My staff have been absolutely amazing. I want to thank each one of them for their fantastic work, they have been working day and night to get the Christmas orders done.
"We will definitely get them all done, we are as good as our word."
