A film that promises to prove the existence of big cats in Gloucestershire will premiere later this year.
Britain’s Big Cat Mystery will explore the UK's supposed population of large cats.
The photos were captured by a trail camera placed near the Forest of Dean, but are being kept exclusively for the documentary so have not yet been published.
Tim Whittard, the documentary's lead researcher, claims the photos have been viewed by a respected zoologist who has identified the animal as a puma.
The film will be shown as part of Big Cat Night at the Fortean Film Festival.
The Hunt: In Search of Australia's Big Cats will also be screened as part of the event at Sherborne Cinema in Gloucester on August 27.
Tickets will be available via FilmFreeway.
