DURSLEY police are warning drivers to keep their valuables locked away and out of sight after three cars were broken into in Cam over the Christmas period.
A set of speakers and an amplifier were stolen from a black Fiat Punto parked in The Hawthorns between 9.30pm on December 16 and 7.30pm on December 17.
The offenders drilled the driver side lock out to gain entry to the vehicle.
A second car had its lock drilled out in High Fur Long. The white Peugeot 106 was broken into between 10.30pm on December 18 and 8.15am on December 19, but no items were stolen.
On Christmas morning, between 9am and 11am, a Citroen Picasso had its door lock drilled out. The offenders were disturbed and no items were stolen.
The car was parked outside St George's Church, in Church Road, while the owner was at the Christmas service.
Sgt Colin Ford, from Dursley Police Station, said: "Although it is not unusual for three cars in the area to be broken into during a week, it is three too many.
"We would like to remind people that they should not leave any valuable items on display in their cars, they should either be taken out with you or locked up securely in the boot of the car."
If anybody has information on any of the three incidents call police on 08045 090 1234 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting the date and place of the incident.
