A LEARN to sing' course is running in South Gloucestershire.

Held in Rangeworthy, this is a free, six week course for women of all singing abilities.

Organiser Emma Richardson, of the choir Fascinating Rhythm, said: "If you are a complete beginner, this course will help you find your voice and boost your confidence.

"You don't need to be able to read music as you will be provided with a teach CD.

"If you already sing in another choir or group, this course will give you the chance to improve your vocal technique and try something new."

The course will also give participants the opportunity to learn a song in four part harmony; perform in a mini-concert for friends and family; and have fun and make new friends.

Each session will consist of physical and vocal warm ups; vocal techniques and exercises; and learning and rehearsing a four part song.

Sessions will take place on Thursday evenings, from 7.30pm to 9pm. Fascinating Rhythm will then be rehearsing from 9pm to 10pm: students are welcome to stay to listen and then socialise with the choir.

The venue is King George V Memorial Hall in Rangeworthy.

During the course, participants will receive weekly course notes and sheet music for the course songs, along with a teach CD'.

The course runs from January 17 until February 21 - on Thursday, February 28 there will be a mini-concert for friends and family, hosted by Fascinating Rhythm and starring everyone from the Learn to Sing course.
