A HOST of stars will be making a New Year appearance at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham this month as the gripping thriller A Touch Of Danger' - written by one of the world's most popular and prolific thriller writers, Francis Durbridge - takes to the stage.
The all-star cast includes international star of screen and stage Simon Ward; Sandra Dickinson of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; Neil Stacey who audiences remember best from series such as The House of Windsor, Duty Free and most recently, Get Well Soon and award-winning Broadway and West End star, Liz Robertson.
When best selling author Max Telligan's secretary, Liz, and his about to be ex wife, Harriet, read in the paper that he has been found dead in Munich they are stunned. Their shock turns to amazement, however, when Max walks in, very much alive. The dead man, a murder victim, was, in fact, a friend of Max's, and thus begins a sequence of events involving men from the CID, the CIA, the security services and a terrorist organisation, all of whom seem to be after a calculator Max has unknowingly brought back from Germany.
The personal diary Max is preparing for publication is also an object of interest to various people and before along Max finds himself caught up in a dangerous situation where no one else is quite what he or she seems, including Harriet.
Fast paced, exciting and packed full of blind alleys and red herrings, this latest thriller from the master craftsman will keep audiences poised on the edge of their seats.
A Touch of Danger runs at The Everyman Theatre from Monday, January 28 to Saturday, February 2. Tickets are available from the box office.
