CHIPPING Sodbury High Street hosted a day of festival fun on Saturday as the locals descended onto the street to enjoy different foods and drink followed by and evening of music and dance.
The Eat Festival kicked off the celebrations as traders lined the streets selling hot and cold delicacies including donuts and churros.
As the evening drew in the Music in the Street party began with local bands and singers entertaining the crowds along with popular dance group Street Cred who danced their way through the town.
Chipping Sodbury Mayor James Ball enjoyed the day and said: “It was fantastic to see Chipping Sodbury back in business last weekend with the Eat Festival and Music in The Street.
“Hundreds of people attended both of the events and they were both a resounding success.
They also gave Sodbury a chance to showcase what’s great about our High Street and help our small businesses, pubs, cafe’s and bars who have suffered with massively reduced footfall since the pandemic started last year.
“I hope those who attended the events will revisit Sodbury soon to further enjoy what’s on offer.”
Faith Newport, owner of Street Cred dance, added: “What a perfect day filled with smiles and love! All of my dancers put on a great performance and brought passion and energy to the festival.
“It was amazing to see families and friends gathered together showing there support and enjoying the energetic atmosphere.”
Talented local photographer Rich McD captured all of the action from the ground and in the air.
