An arrest has been made in relation to medication given to a care home resident who died in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital last week.
Police have launched an investigation into the death of a man who was a resident at Wheatridge Court in Abbeydale, following his death on Wednesday September 8, after he was admitted to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
Gloucestershire's Constabulary's Public Protection Unit are leading the investigation and have so far arrested one person in connection with the death.
The arrest was made on Friday in relation to medication given prior to the man's death. The arrested person has since been released on conditional bail until October 7.
