STUCK for an idea for a Christmas present?
The 2021 edition of the Dursley & Cam Society local history journal, The Dursley Lantern is now available.
It is free to members of the society and will be on sale to anyone else at Dursley Heritage Centre on Friday, December 17 and Saturday, December 18, priced at £5.
It will also be available until the end of January at Inches and Tolsey Two in Parsonage Street, along with Cam Post Office.
This edition contains another good mix of articles which will hopefully be of interest to anyone keen to know more about the area’s past.
Amongst others, the volume includes articles looking at the early workhouse in Dursley, the brass bands of Dursley, stone stiles around Cam and beyond, Robert Browning Lister (1894-1975), the Stinchcombe heritage trail, and Friends at Christmas.
