SLEUTH, by Anthony Shaffer, is on stage at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham from Monday, February 4 to Saturday, February 9.
One of the greatest ever stage thrillers, Sleuth originally ran for 12 years in London and New York, winning the Tony Award for Best Play. It inspired the hugely successful film starring Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine - this was remade last year, again starring Michael Caine but in the older role, alongside Jude Law.
This production stars Simon MacCorkindale and Michael Praed.
MUSIC fans are in for a treat when jazz duo Gail Brand and Simon Picard play at the University of Gloucestershire tomorrow evening (Friday, February 1) - Xposed Club, Pittville Studios, Albert Road, Cheltenham.
Gail Brand has been a trombonist since the age of nine, playing on the international jazz and improvised music scene since the early 1990s. She performs solo as well as with many international improvisers. Simon plays tenor sax.
The evening will also include two local bands The Acoustic Beauty Piano Trio' and Chris Cundy from the Guillemots playing solo.

THE Ian Mcmillan Orchestra promises a sizzling combination of words and music at The Subscription Rooms, Stroud on Sunday, February 10 at 7.30pm.
Poet and presenter of The Verb' on BBC Radio 3, Ian McMillan and composer Luke Carver Goss, are joined by a five-piece band of musicians. Ian's verses are backed up with exotic roots music accompanied by acoustic instruments including fiddle, accordion and whistles as well as hurdy-gurdy dance.
McMillan's subjects will include a heady mix including 9/11, mining, heatwaves, death by shanty and Ronnie Barker.
AN Audience with Albert Einstein is brought to Bradley Stoke Community School by Razzle, the South Gloucestershire community arts programme, on Saturday (February 2, 7pm). Presented by Bath's Natural Theatre Company, the show is a light hearted look at the story of Einstein's life and work in the form of an entertaining lecture' by the clone of the great man himself. Audiences can discover the mystery of Albert's stolen brain, his secret love child and how the riddle of the Universe was solved by an unknown office clerk on the back of an envelope
