Tudor Farmhouse Restaurant
Location: High Street, Tudor Farmhouse Hotel, Clearwell, GL16 8JS
One reviewer wrote: “Perfectly balanced dishes with optional wine pairings. All local ingredients. Staff are wonderful and chefs versatile. We had a last minute allergen addition and they whipped up an allergen free dessert on the spot. Outstanding”
Another said: “What a lovely little restaurant. My partner was given a voucher for dinner for his birthday earlier in the year and this was the first opportunity we had to use it and boy was it worth it! Food was absolutely amazing, tasty and wonderfully presented. The staff were attentive but left us to enjoy our food in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The whole place just had such a lovely feel to it and the garden gave me garden envy that's for sure. A real little gem that we will definitely return with friends to with it being just down the road.”
Thornbury Castle
Location: Thornbury Castle, Castle Street, Thornbury, BS35 1HH
One reviewer wrote: “We went to Thornbury Castel last night for our anniversary. The setting is spectacular, even better since the recent refurbishment. The service and welcome was excellent - drinks and canapes in the lounge by the fire while they take your food order, then into the dining room for dinner. We had the tasting menu and my husband had the wine flight. The food was excellent. We went back to the longe for coffee and chocolates.
“Highly recommeneded. I've been coming here since the 1990s and this is the best it has ever been.”

We felt comfortable and pampered from the moment we arrived. The tasting menu with accompanying wines exceeded our expectations at every course - beautiful dishes, exciting new tastes and all explained very well by Emilian, Krisztian and their team.”
