POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a petrol station in Almondsbury.
The incident happened at around 9am on Wednesday at the Murco filling station on the A38.
A member of staff was in the process of putting away a recent delivery into a storeroom when three men got out of a blue coloured vehicle and approached the premises.
They closed the storeroom door behind the staff member, trapping him inside.
They then stole tobacco and cigarettes and placed them inside the vehicle. When confronted by another member of staff they threatened him and got back into the vehicle that made off towards the M5 junction.
The vehicle involved has been described as a blue coloured Ford Focus type car.
One of the offenders was a white man, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins tall, of thin build and aged between 19 and 21. He had dark hair.
The second man was around 5ft 4ins tall, of large build, aged between 22 and 25. He had slightly longer dark hair than the first man.
The third offender was a white man, of average build, aged between 22 and 25. He had short fair coloured hair and was described as having a long nose.
