YATE shopping centre has revealed their full diary of events for the summer holidays.
Organisers say there will be something for everyone at the centre this year including a huge number of free events.
Family fun days that will kick off at the end of July include Punch & Judy shows, craft workshops and live music. The extra events will be held every Tueday and Thursday with the ever-popular 'beach' open every day.
Andrew Lowrey, Yate Shopping Centre Manager, said: “These events are an important part of the centre’s programme to drive footfall throughout the summer holidays.
"It is important that shoppers support the local independent traders at this time of the year when so many people are away.
“In past years these events have proven extremely popular and the beach always attracts record numbers. With so many people opting for staycations this year, it is hoped we can see record attendances.”
The summer-long programme will culminate with 'The Centre’s One Great Day' event on August 30.
Yate Shopping centre will join shopping centres across the UK in a charity fundraising initiative to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital children’s charity and a local children’s health charity.
Andrew added: “This will be the sixth year that Yate shopping centre has taken part and our chosen children’s charity is The Jessie May Trust. Donations to the local charity will be encouraged during all summer events.”
Founded in 1996, the Jessie May nurses provide at-home nursing and respite care for children and young people, who have a terminal or life-limiting condition throughout the South West.
