A BEAUTICIAN is absolutely made up after winning a second prestigious award this year.
Jade Coates, 36, won the Lux magazine’s make-up artist of the year in May for South West England.
Now she has won the Livewire Innovation and Excellence awards as make-up artist of the year.
Jade was born in Bristol and now lives in Cam where she has her own home studio and offers makeup and beauty treatments.
“Winning my second title for makeup artist of the year 2022 has been absolutely amazing," said Jade, who is married to Kieran and has two girls, Myiah eight, and Amara five.
“It means so much to be recognised for innovation and excellence and I have my family, friends and fabulous loyal clients to thank for it.
“Their support during my career has been fantastic and they are the main reason I do what I do.
Jade studied her A-levels at Filton Tech now known as South Gloucestershire College and was always very good at art from a young age.
She has worked in the beauty industry for 17 years and has had a successful career working with major brands such as Bobbi Brown and Shu Uemura at catwalk shows before going freelance in 2011.
Jade has also worked with other high profile clients including Catrin Aur Davies, West Weddings Magazine, Harvey Nichols and Sean Hanna.
She has also created looks for bridal magazine front covers and features and provided makeup for professional opera singers as well as looks for film festivals, launch parties and TV.
As well as freelancing, Jade now teaches level two and three makeup at SGS College in Stroud.
She said: “I thoroughly enjoy inspiring and passing on my industry experience and knowledge to help enrich the lives of the next generation of artists and therapists.”
Jade’s latest award means she has now won two awards in the same year from different specialist magazines.
