A YATE woman has been given a hefty fine for driving without insurance.
Rebecca Carter, aged 42, of Gathorne Crescent, Yate, must pay a total of more than £800 for the offence.
Carter was caught in Cotswold Road, Chipping Sodbury, on Friday, February 11 in a Vauxhall Astra.
The offence was proved under the single justice procedure at Bath Magistrates' Court on August 25.
Carter was fined £660 and must also pay £90 costs plus a £66 victim services surcharge.
She was also given six penalty points.
