A BEAUTICIAN is absolutely made up after winning two prestigious awards this year.
Shanna Farragher, 32, from Dursley has won a gold and a bronze award in The British Beauty Awards for the South West.
She said: “It means so much to win these awards due to the passion, care and hard work I have given over the last 10 years in building a business from zero to salon.
“I have always had a dream of having my own business.
“I am so happy and excited, it is such an achievement to have not only been shortlisted for these awards but to then win them.
“I can’t thank my clients enough for their support and loyalty in helping me achieve my dream and helping me become a winner.”
Shanna trained as a beauty therapist at SGS College in Stroud and went on to study a foundation degree in health and complementary therapies.
She has worked in the industry for 14 years and has worked in local salons and spas to gain experience before establishing her own business - Shanna's Infusion of Beauty - in 2012.
Shanna has her own home studio in Dursley and offers makeup and beauty treatments.
She said: “When I left employment and became my own boss it was the best decision I have made, I absolutely love it.
“My mission is to provide luxury, result driven treatments and wellbeing at affordable prices. A one-to-one service personalised to my clients’ beauty & skincare needs.
“I provide a full range of high quality beauty treatments at The Beauty Cabin, a cosy, safe, professional space where clients can truly switch off and relax.”
Shanna was the gold winner for Beauty Therapist of the year and the bronze winner For Beauty Salon of The year in July.
The British Hair and Beauty Awards recognises those in the industry who make a real difference and encourages their development and hard work throughout the year.
Entries are invited from spas, beauty, hair or nail salons, as well as employers and individuals who stand out from the crowd.
