AN outdoor play site for young children has celebrated its first year anniversary
Mudpies and Sprinkles in Dursley was launched by Steph Williams last year who noticed the positive effect nature play was having on her own children.
“During the lockdowns I started to do a lot of messy nature themed play for my own children, aged two and four, at home,” said Steph.
“I desperately wanted to share the benefits with the local community, as I saw how much it had done for my family.”
The preschool business is based at the Breakheart Quarry with toddlers and young children enjoying messy and sensory play as well as the outdoor role play village.
Steph celebrated with regulars and supporters at a messy play birthday party last month on Saturday, October 15.
“I am so pleased by the positive response Mudpies and Sprinkles has received from the local community, and those beyond," she said.
“I often receive glowing feedback from parents and childminders who are thankful to have this educational and inspiring space on their doorstep.”
“I can’t thank the local community enough for supporting my little business and helping it grow.
“I will continue to evolve and keep the site fresh and exciting for visitors!”
