A FUNDRAISING appeal has been launched for a puppy who was found living in 'squalid conditions’ in Dursley.
Max, a one-year-old German Shepherd, was one of three dogs brought to the RSPCA in property search last month.
Stroud District Council dog wardens, the RSPCA and Stroud Police officers searched at a home on October 6 and seized the trio of dogs from their owners after a warrant was issued.

Max is now being cared for by Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home in Cambridge and has been described as ‘playful’ and ‘goofy’.
Following tests and X-rays, it was discovered that he had decreased muscle mass and strength.
An appeal for money to fund Max’s treatment has now been launched by the animal charity.
“Despite his difficult start, Max is full of life,” said Ebony Poole, an assistant at the charity.
“Max is just a big goofy playful puppy.
“He adores people, and his playful and affectionate nature is infectious.
“He greets everyone like he's known them for years with a big waggy tail and sloppy kiss.
“Sadly, when Max came to us he was underweight and showed weakness in his back legs."
In a statement Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home said that Max has a 'great future' ahead.
A spokesperson said: "Thankfully, there is a treatment that can give Max the best chance to have a normal life – hydrotherapy.
"Although hydrotherapy comes with a cost, we believe it is worth paying and we know you will agree.
"He has a great future ahead of him with the support of hydrotherapy to keep him strong and healthy.
"Can you help cover the cost of Max’s hydrotherapy as well as neutering, vet visits and vaccinations? The total is estimated to be close to £1000.
"Monthly donations, however small, help us plan the care we can offer Max."
When Max's treatment is finished, the charity hopes to help him find his forever home.
