POLICE are appealing for information after two sheep were attacked by a dog in Kingswood.
One sheep died at the scene, while the other suffered ‘severe bites’ to its rear leg and is considered life-threatening.
The attack happened yesterday between 7.30am and 12pm yesterday (January 3) in fields near Kingswood Village hall.
It is not the first incident of this nature in the area as there was a similar incident in October last year.
Gloucestershire police are urging anyone with any information to get in touch.
PSCO Liz Ward said in a community alert: “We're appealing for information following an incident where two sheep were attacked by a dog in the fields near Kingswood Village hall.
“This resulted in one of the sheep being killed at the scene. The other one received severe bites to the rear leg and may have to be put to sleep.
“This is not the first time this has happened in the area; there was also an incident on October 22."
