THE LIST of schools which are closed or partially closed has been updated amid this week's strike. 

Hundreds of thousands of workers will go on strike on Wednesday (February 1) in separate disputes over pay, jobs and conditions in what will be the biggest day of industrial action in more than a decade.

Teachers in England and Wales, who are members of the National Education Union (NEU), will strike, with more than 23,000 schools expected to be affected.

Here is a list, collated by Gloucestershire County Council, of all the schools in the county which will be closed or partially closed. 

Archway School - Partially closed.  Archway School will only remain open for students in years 11, 12 and 13 and for some with particular needs who will also be invited to attend on this day.

All other students from year groups 7 to 10 inclusive will be asked to remain at home where they can access work set online via the SatchelOne website.

Barnwood C of E Primary School - Due to the strike school will be closed. Pre-ordered packed lunches will be available for FSM children.

Berkeley Primary School - Partially closed. Due to industrial strikes Year 1, Year 3 and Year 4 will be closed.

Calton Primary School - Partially closed - Playgroup, Reception, Year 1 and Indigo Class are open as normal.

Cheltenham Bournside School and Sixth Form Centre - Partially closed. The school will be open for all Year 11, 12 and 13 students.

Students from Years 7-10 with an Education, Health and Care Plan will also be expected to attend school.

School will not be open for all other students from Years 7-10 who will work from home on the planned teacher strike day.

Chipping Campden School - Partially closed - the school will be closed to students in Years 8, 9 & 10. Work will be signposted to students. 

The School remains open for Years 7, 11, 12 & 13 - it will also be open to vulnerable students and children of key workers who have signed up to attend. 

School transport will operate as normal. 

Chosen Hill - School will be partially closed to all groups other than Y11, Y13 and for some vulnerable students who have been contacted.

All other students in Y7 to Y10 have been asked to remain at home where they can access work set online.

Cirencester Deer Park School - Partially closed - the school will be open for Year 11 pupils only.

All pupils in Years 7 to 10 should remain at home and look at SMHW for work to complete.

Coberley C of E Primary School - Partially closed - Class 1 will be closed due to industrial action. 

Coopers Edge School - Partially closed - Y4 and Ospreys are closed all day.

The rest of the school will run as normal.

Dinglewell Junior School - Partially closed. Dinglewell Junior School is partially closed. 

Ellwood Community Primary School - The school will have partial class/year group closures on 1st February 2023 due to industrial action.

Please note the following classes will be closed on 1st February: Oak (EYFS) Year 1 Year 3 Year 4 Year 5 (Willow year 5s only can attend for the afternoon session 1pm-3.15pm)

Classes/Year groups open: Year 6 (all day) Willow year 5s for the afternoon session 1pm-3.15pm only) Year 2 - morning only (8.45am-12.15pm)

Elmbridge Primary School - Partially closed - they are only open between 11:30am and 1:15pm to enable the following pupils to have a hot meal.

1 - Their identified vulnerable children (for example, if they have a child in need or child protection plan, an EHCP or are a young carer, etc.)

2. Those children who receive benefit-related free school meals (i.e. those who qualify for pupil premium funding)

Farmor's School - Partially closed - will only be open for students in years 10,11,12 and 13.

All other students from year groups 7 to 9 inclusive will be asked to remain at home where they can access any work that has been set on SMHW.

Foxmoor Primary School - Partially closed: the following classes will be closed to all students: Class 1 (Reception) Class 2 (Year 1) Class 3 (Year 1/2) Class 4 (Year 2) Class 5 (Year 3)

Gastrells Community Primary School - the school will be closed on Wednesday, 1st of February.

Gloucester Academy - Partially closed - they will be open for students in Years 7 and 11 only.

All other students in Years 8, 9 and Y10 have been asked to remain at home where they can access work set online.

Henley Bank High School - Partially closed - Due to industrial action they will be open for students in Year 11 only.

All other students in Y7 to Y10 have been asked to remain at home where they can access work set online.

Holmleigh Park High School - Partially closed. Holmleigh Park is closed to all year groups except Year 11 and 13, and selected students in other years. Parents should check their email for full details.

Isbourne Valley School - Partially closed. School closed for Windrush and Evenlode classes.

Katharine Lady Berkeley's School - The school will be open for vulnerable students and students in years 12 and 13.

All other students will be asked to remain at home and access online learning through Class Charts.

Kempsford C of E Primary School - Closed due to strike action. 

Longlevens Infant School - Closed to all but invited pupils. Parents please see individual communication.

Maidenhill School Partially closed - only Year 11 students should attend school.

Students in Years 7 - 10 should complete remote learning at home via Satchel:One.

Marling School - Partially closed. All Year 11 students are expected to attend as normal.

Year 13 students attendance is optional (all Y13 Art students are expected to attend).

School is closed to other Year groups.

Remote learning will be provided for all timetabled lessons being taught by teachers working that day (communicated through Edulink).

Arrangements for vulnerable students and critical workers children will be sent by email.

Meadowside Primary School - Partially closed. Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 6 closed due to industrial action

Minchinhampton Primary Academy - Partially closed. The following classes will be closed on the 1st February.

Teal, Aqua, Azure, Cyan, Turquoise, Sky. 

Nursery will be open on the 1st February.

Newent Community School and Sixth Form Centre - Partially closed.  The school will only remain open to students in Y11 and Y13 who are expected to attend.

In addition, selected vulnerable students in Years 7 to 10 will be contacted and invited to attend school.

All other students will be asked to remain at home and complete home learning activities provided via SatchelOne.

Pittville School - Partially closed. They will be opening the school to Year 7 students only.

The school will not be open for Years 8, 9, 10 and 11.

They will not be open to Y11 students for normal timetabled lessons.

However, they will be able to offer independent study facilities for any Y11 students that wish to come to school that day.

It would be useful if Year 11 students could come prepared with revision materials from home to support their work in school on that day.

Rednock School - Partially closed.

The school will be closed to all year groups with the exception of years 11 and 13 and all students with EHCP's.

Ribston Hall High School - the school will only be open to Year 7 and Year 11.

All other students should check Show My Homework for instructions on how to access work and any online lessons taking place.

Rodmarton School - Due to the industrial strike, the school will be closed. 

Sapperton C of E Primary School - Closed due to industrial action.

Severn Valley Belle Vue - The school will be closed to pupils, unless specifically contacted, on Wednesday, 1st of February.

Severn Valley Ryeleaze - The school will be closed to pupils on Wednesday, 1st February.

Severn Valley St.George's - The school will be closed to pupils on Wednesday, 1st of February.

Siddington C of E School - Closed due to strike action.

Sir Thomas Rich's School - Partially closed. The School will be open for pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 only.

Pupils in Years 10-13 are asked to study from home, check Satchel One for work set and not come onto the School site.

Sir William Romney's School - it will be closed to all pupils. 

St. Peter's Catholic High School & Sixth Form College - Partially closed. Will be open to Year 7.

The school will be closed to all other year groups for this day.

The school will be open for vulnerable students (eg EHCP, Looked after Children)

St. White's School - Due to industrial action, the whole school will be closed on Wednesday, February 1. 

Stone with Woodford C of E Primary School - Due to strike action the school is closed to all but invited pupils.

Families are asked to read the communications via email from the school or get in touch with the school office for further information.

The Cotswold School - is open as usual for all year groups.

The Crypt School - school will be closed to students in Year 9 and 10. Students should check Google Classroom for any work.

School is open to all other year groups who should attend as normal.

The Rissington School - Partially closed. Pre-School and Key Stage One Classes fully open.

Vulnerable and Critical Worker provision only for Reception and Key Stage 2.

The Shrubberies School - Partially closed. The Shrubberies and Apperley Centre will be partially closed due to industrial action by NEU teachers on the 1st February 2023.

Violet Class - M2 (Main School) and FE3 (Apperely Centre) will be closed to students on this day.

All other children can attend school.

Further updates will be sent out to parents if this changes.

Thomas Keble School - Partially closed as a result of strike action.

It will be open for Year 7, Year 11 and all students with an EHCP.

Thrupp Primary School - Thrupp Year 1/2 class (Hawks) and Year 3/4 class (Buzzards) will be shut for the day due to industrial action.

Tibberton Community Primary School - Partially closed.

Nursery, Sparrows, Puffins, Barn Owls and Eagle Class are open as normal.

Tirlebrook Primary School - It is closed to all pupils on Wednesday 1st February due to industrial action being taken by teachers who are members of the NEU.

Little Oaks Nursery remains open.

Tredworth Infant and Nursery Academy - School is partially closed due to industrial action.

School will be open to key and vulnerable children, who will be notified in advance.

Upton St. Leonards C of E Primary School - Partially closed.

Due to industrial action, the school will only open to Year 6, who they are prioritising due to taking national examinations, Year 3; 2W and 5W.

Westbury-on-Severn C of E Primary School - Partially closed. Sycamore and Oak Classes will close at 1pm.

Other classes remain open as usual.
