A MAN, aged 31, has been charged with assaulting a police officer in Berkeley.
The defendant allegedly committed the offence on August 12.
He was charged under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and Assaults on Emergency Workers (Offences) Act 2018.
The man from Henbury is due to appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court today.
