FAMILIES and households across Gloucestershire woke up to a blanket of snow this morning.
Roads were largely unaffected by the snowfall as it started to melt, but drivers are still being advised to drive cautiously.
Readers have sent in their pictures of animals, back gardens, and woodlands all covered in the white stuff.
All flights at Bristol Airport were halted until 11am as workers cleared snow from the runway. It was eventually reopened this afternoon, but delays are still expected tonight.
Meanwhile, all schools in the county were open, with the exception of a primary school in Cheltenham, which was forced to close due to a heating problem.
It comes after a yellow weather warning of snow and ice was issued yesterday by the Met Office.
