CHIPPING Sodbury Library is set to close its doors for six weeks.
The building, in High Street, is undergoing a major interior refurbishment and redecoration programme and will be shut until Monday, August 5.
It will close on Monday, June 16 for the internal work, which will include the creation of open work spaces, new furniture and shelving and upgraded facilities.
Money for the project was allocated in this year's South Gloucestershire Council budget.
A council spokesman said: "All library books currently being issued will have return dates to coincide and Chipping Sodbury library users will be invited to return books and to collect reserved items from Yate Library."
Yate Library is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (9.30am-7pm), Saturday (9.30am-5pm) and Sunday (11am-3pm).
Bookworms can also renew books by calling 01823 334334 or online at southglos.gov.ul/libraries.
