A bull lurcher with a winning personality and enthusiastic approach to life is ready to find his forever home.
Patch, six years old, is adored by his carers at Teckels Animal Sanctuary for his quirky, loveable personality.
He has seen many dogs come and go from the shelter since arriving in Whitminster three years ago, but his day has yet to come.
The team have watched with pride as he has smashed his training targets, but right now, finding him a forever home is their top priority.
Sophie Blount from Teckels Animal Sanctuary said: “We are desperate to get Patch rehomed as he has been with us far too long now and really does deserve his home comforts and own family to love.
“We first met Patch over three years ago, when he arrived from another rescue centre.
“He has grown to be one of our favourites here at Teckels and so we really can’t understand why he is still with us.
“Due to his chilled out, relaxed nature, he would make the perfect work from home buddy who enjoys a good old neck scratch once bonded with you.
“Sadly we believe that Patch may have had a bad experience with humans in the past which is why he can initially be a little apprehensive.”
Teckels receptionist Jill and her partner John, have taken Patch out on adventures to help prepare him for the day he does find his forever home.
Jill has said that Patch walks well on a lead, travels well in the car, and admitted that she actually prefers walking the six-year-old pooch to walking her own dog.
Sophie added: “All in all, Patch is a very clever boy who will go to his bed from two rooms away when instructed.
“Yet, his sit on command needs a little more persuasion. A quirky, loveable character who really would make a lovely companion to a family with lots of patience, love and tinned hot dog sausages in the cupboard.
