WALKERS will be strolling through the countryside in Wotton as part of a festival which kicks off next month.
Wotton Walking Festival is back for a sixth year, with 16 guided walks taking place over three days from Friday, May 12 to Sunday, May 14.
The aim is to celebrate a range of walks for all abilities and covering all the areas of beautiful countryside around Wotton.
Festival chairperson Neil Hasson, said: “Whether you’re a long term resident, have recently moved to the area, or visiting from afar the festival walks are a great way to discover more about the stunning part of the Cotswolds we live in.
“The programme is designed to cater for a wide range of interests and physical abilities and is an excellent opportunity to get to know like minded outdoor enthusiasts.
“The agenda includes special interest walks focused upon local history, local flora/fauna and the ever popular Friday evening pub walk will concentrate upon satisfying any thirst.
“Each day also includes at least one walk of 10+ miles. These should be considered as all day outings with considerable height gain and loss.
“At the end of your walk Wotton has a wealth of excellent and welcoming refreshment venues to suit every taste, providing a just reward for all your efforts.”
